Art Around the Corner Brings World-Renowned Sculptures to
Historic Downtown St. George
Whether your taste for art leans toward the abstract,
historic, animal, or human, you should not have to travel
far to find a sampling if you live in St. George. Art Around
the Corner will see to that. Art Around the Corner, a
not-for-profit outdoor arts project featuring sculptures by
nationally renowned artists, will unveil its 2010 collection
in historic downtown St. George. Some of this years
returning artists include the legendary Grant Speed and
local favorites L'Deane Trueblood, Matt Clark, and Annette
Everett.
KCSG-TV and the City of St. George present: Sunset
on the Square
The 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, May through September,
the Town Square becomes an outdoor theatre, compliments of
KCSG and the City of St. George.
Friday Concert Series
Town & Country Bank presents: Friday Concert Series. Each
week a local musician will perform at noon in the main lobby
of Town & County Bank. All concerts are free so come enjoy
some beautiful music! Most concerts are performed on the
Baby Grand Piano in their lobby but some concerts will
feature other instruments as well! For more information,

St. George RoadRunners 2010 Season Opener!
The St. George RoadRunners want to remind everyone that the
2010 Season Opener is Friday, May 21st. Game time is 7:05
p.m. They are looking forward to a packed stadium for the
opening series against the Orange County Flyers.
Upcoming Farmers Market begins May 8, 2010
The Downtown Farmers Market at Ancestor Square is a
non-profit community project to promote the downtown area as
well as promoting organic gardening and homemade crafts and
goods. The first Farmers Market for 2010 will be held on
Mother's Day weekend, Saturday, May 8th in the center
Courtyard at Ancestor Square, located at St. George Blvd.
and Main Street in downtown St. George. They will continue
every Saturday throughout the summer running until Saturday,
October 30. Parking is located in the adjacent parking lot
at Ancestor Square. The event is free to the public
Zion Canyon Native Flute Festival
Once
again, the Zion Flute Circle, World Peace Gardens and the
Arizona Flute Circle presents the 6th annual Zion Flute &
Drum Festival a world flute and drum event. Mark your
calendar today because you will not want to miss out on this
spectacular event. The festival event will begin this year
on Thursday May 6th at 4:00 pm and continue through 8:30 pm
Saturday. World flute and drum enthusiast will gather
together in Springdale Utah, to browse vendor booths and
listen and play flute & drum music, attend workshops, learn
from each other and share our music and passion with each
other. The festival will be held
May 6th, 7th, 8th, 2010
at 118 Lion Blvd. in Springdale, UT. Classes have opened up
registration! This year, they are 'Honoring and Perpetuating
Our Spiritual Heritage of the Native Flute.' The Zion Canyon

The Parade of Homes is held in mid February every year. Over 30,000 people
come to view
this spectacular showcase of homes which offer the latest in design. These
homes vary in size and price and offer a wealth of ideas for building

Art Show

State College campus. Art from artists from the western states are invited to

Annual St George Art Festival -
Easter Weekend

Festival in the West" is held the Friday and Saturday of Easter
Weekend and hosts a wonderful variety of art and artists from all over the

Annually held around the first week in August at
the state-of-the-art Washington County Fair Park
in Hurricane. This family fun event features carnival rides, games, festive
food, entertainment,
award-winning crops and livestock exhibits.
Enterprise Corn Festival
The Enterprise area is noted for its productive
farms and gardens. Excellent corn is grown both
commercially and privately in this area, and the people take pride in their
crop. When it's time to harvest, they
celebrate at the end of August in the town square with a weekend selling fresh,
succulent corn on the cob, playing games selling crafts, exhibiting quilts and
plain old fashioned fun.
SEPTEMBER
Dixie Lions Round-up - Mid September
Join the Lions Club for the annual rodeo
celebration at the Sun Bowl in St George. Approved by the
Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association, this wild weekend extravaganza is held
the second
weekend in September. Great entertainment for all.
Santa Clara Swiss Days
On the last Friday and Saturday in September, the
small town of Santa Clara celebrates its
Swiss heritage - based on early pioneers that settled the town in 1861. The
event offers an array
of events including historical displays, a fun run, craft and food booths, and
much more.

Dickens' Christmas Festival
Step back in time! The sights and sounds of 19th
Century London come alive at the Spectrum's Dickens'
Christmas Festival in the Dixie Center. The Festival is not just another craft

unusual entertainment and shopping experience. Guests wind through narrow
village streets as they shop for their gifts and rub shoulders with a cast of
Dickens' characters such as Tiny Tim, Scrooge, Oliver, and even Queen Victoria
and the "real" Father Christmas all combine to offer our guests a Christmas

Tuachan’s Festival of Lights &
Live Nativity Production Thanksgiving thru January 1st
Thousands of twinkling lights greet you
as you approach the parking lot of the Tuachan Amphitheater. This
annual event takes place every evening except Sunday from Thanksgiving until
New Year’s Day at the Tuachan Center
for the Arts in Ivins. The show features a touching, live nativity scene and
re-enactment of the birth of Jesus.
